E-Commerce Reviews

Here are reviews of some of the e-commerce sites i've used, and good/bad things i've experienced with them.

cyberphoto.se (Photo Equipment)
+
  • Fast.
  • Good Service.
  • Quite cheap.
  • Makes a serious and honest impression.
  • -
  • None at all

  • easyspace.com (Internet Domain Registrar)
    +
  • None at all
  • -
  • Expensive (twice the cost of most other registrars)
  • Slow website
  • Horrible Interface
  • Will spam you with offers until you change emailaddress

  • gandi.net (Internet Domain Registrar)
    +
  • Quite cheap
  • Fast
  • Easy
  • -
  • The first half of all messages are always in french, so you have to scroll down a bit if you want to understand what they are trying to say.

  • mrjet.com (Flight Tickets)
    +
  • Works quite OK, it usually do finds the cheapest ticket
  • -
  • Website tends to be slow.
  • Both the times i booked a ticket using this website i got a ticket in my hand which didn't match the ticket i booked. Both these times i ended up waiting three to four hours longer for a connection flight when i went back to Stockholm. A written complaint to MrJet resulted in nothing at all, at least they could have apologized.

  • multimediacenter.se (DVD players and Multimedia equipment)
    +
  • Nice website.
  • Quite cheap, god region free DVD players and the things you really want.
  • -
  • None that i can remember.

  • palmgear.com (Palm Programs and Accessories)
    +
  • Quite nice website, tons of applications and the GUI is quite well made.
  • Easy to find what you are looking for, usually.
  • -
  • Well, sometimes their webservers could be a bit faster.
  • Lately started to spam me with a ton of offers, with no clear way of how to stop them, so they ended up being blacklisted in my mailserver.

  • ratestogo.com (Hotel booking)
    +
  • Quite good and easy websites, lots of hotels to choose from.
  • Good rates, we got half of the original price of our hotel.
  • No problems at check-in either.
  • -
  • Also starts sending you unwanted newsletters.

  • rent-a-home.com.au (Appartements and Housing in Australia)
    +
  • We used this website to book appartments for our Australia trip.
  • Good presentation of the various appartments, nice website.
  • Flexible company, no problems at all.
  • -
  • Automatically subscribes you to a newsletter, at least in my case, even though i normally live in Sweden.
